4/30/11 STILL WORKING ON PHOTO ALBUM PROJECT, COULD TAKE A FEW WEEKS

...began with old archive albums from parents house..took to library with scanner,,,began scanning & later downloading,,,etc...many years ago, now putting together ("merging" ) & "tagging" & narrating,,,its combination jpeg & pdf..a TON of photos..and its really interesting to me to put together the pieces of the puzzle..where I came from..not just the rough draft, but details..and there's more than most families have because both my grandfather's remarried after their first wife's death...(both of my grandma's died before I was born, so I only knew my "step-grandma" so to speak)...and there were kids from the 2nd marriages (5 on my dad's side, 3 on my mom's side)..and so 10 aunts & uncles on my dad's side & 8 aunts & uncles on mom's side (including half & step aunts & uncles) ...and they married and had kids, & so on & so forth..& my mom & dad avidly tried to keep up with how everybody was/is doing..christmas cards etc, and now I'm trying to put the pieces together (add to it that my dad was/is a church pastor & made three major moves in his life (iowa, michigan, california) & all the Parishioners or CPE students (in Michigan he was not a church pastor but a hospital pastor) became part of the extended "family" (the body of Christ)..so its a big puzzle to put together when trying to include pics, dates, names, narration, who what, when why, how, etc..will take a while..

the national catholic register. (april 10-23, 2011) says that "The officials [of the state dept, which is led by Hillary] purposely misled Latin American delegations into believing the Holy See had changed its position on a sexual orientation declaration that called for "sexual orientation & gender identity" to be new categories of non-discrimination in international law" at a united nations gathering . the church newspaper goes on to say that, in fact, "The Holy See ...opposed the declaration."

4/28/11 cblog FAITH SEEKING UNDERSTANDING, WHAT WE ENGAGE IN

4/28/11 cblog FAITH SEEKING UNDERSTANDING, WHAT WE ENGAGE IN; St. Augustine, Culver fr African m:"All week re jesus appearing to disciples ..breaking of bread allowed them to see Jesus..today in joy & excitement they are recounting the events..and Jesus shows up ..and he opens their minds..our experience also..we have faith, but don't always fully understand what we believe..trying to understand better, we make progress w help of god, holy spirit,,this is theology..faith seeking understanding..that is what all believers engage in, when try to understand faith better, very often , what is happening in ..christ has saved so many lives..faith we have..life everlasting ..and the more we try to understand..jesus says u r my disciples...we are witnesses..faith leads us back to disciples...its a responsib & honor to be counted..why u r here day after day..cont enjoy ress of lord, ..strt w gospel, ressurrection..act of apost..story of witnessing..disciples of jesus..we cont story of witnessing to christ making known to world..

Acts 3:11-26 "As the crippled man who had been cured clung to Peter and John, all the people hurried in amazement toward them in the portico called “Solomon’s Portico.” When Peter saw this, he addressed the people,“You children of Israel, why are you amazed at this, and why do you look so intently at us as if we had made him walk by our own power or piety? The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus whom you handed over and denied in Pilate’s presence, when he had decided to release him. You denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. The author of life you put to death, but God raised him from the dead; of this we are witnesses And by faith in his name, this man, whom you see and know, his name has made strong, and the faith that comes through it has given him this perfect health, in the presence of all of you. Now I know, brothers and sisters, that you acted out of ignorance, just as your leaders did; but God has thus brought to fulfillment what he had announced beforehand through the mouth of all the prophets that his Christ would suffer. Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away, and that the Lord may grant you times of refreshment and send you the Christ already appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the times of universal restoration of which God spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old. For Moses said A prophet like me will the Lord, your God, raise up for you to him you shall listen in all that he may say to you Everyone who does not listen to that prophet will be cut off from the people“Moreover, all the prophets who spoke, from Samuel and those afterwards, also announced these days. You are the children of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors when he said to Abraham, In your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed For you first, God raised up his servant and sent him to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”

R. (2ab) O Lord, our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth!

Luke 24.35-48 "The disciples of Jesus recounted what had taken place along the way, and how they had come to recognize him in the breaking of bread While they were still speaking about this, he stood in their midst and said to them,“Peace be with you.” But they were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost. Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.” And as he said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed, he asked them, “Have you anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of baked fish; he took it and ate it in front of them. He said to them,“These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
And he said to them,“Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem You are witnesses of these things.”

Acts 4:1-12 After the crippled man had been cursed, while Peter and John were still speaking to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple guard, and the Sadducees confronted them, disturbed that they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. They laid hands on Peter and John and put them in custody until the next day since it was already evening. But many of those who heard the word came to believe and the number of men grew to about five thousand. On the next day, their leaders, elders, and scribes were assembled in Jerusalem, with Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and all who were of the high-priestly class. They brought them into their presence and questioned them,“By what power or by what name have you done this?” Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, answered them,“Leaders of the people and elders If we are being examined today about a good deed done to a cripple, namely, by what means he was saved, then all of you and all the people of Israel should know that it was in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead; in his name this man stands before you healed He is the stone rejected by you, the builders which has become the cornerstone There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved.” R. (22) The stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone

John 21.1-14 "Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples at the Sea of Tiberias He revealed himself in this way. Together were Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, Zebedee’s sons, and two others of his disciples Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We also will come with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. When it was already dawn, Jesus was standing on the shore; but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught anything to eat?” They answered him, “No.” So he said to them, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something.” So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish. So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad, and jumped into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards, dragging the net with the fish. When they climbed out on shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you just caught. So Simon Peter went over and dragged the net ashore full of one hundred fifty-three large fish. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come, have breakfast.” And none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” because they realized it was the Lord Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in like manner the fish. This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead."

NEW BLACK MANAGER AT THIS COPY SHOP HAS AN IMPERIOUS MANNER

...I notice he doesn't even really know how to run the machines that well and relies on one of the workers to show him..that's got to be demoralizing to the workers making much less while showing him how to do things..

4/27/11 PRAY 4 THIS LIBRARY LADY..MAY SHE FEEL THE PEACE OF CHRIST

..I had a discussion with her about renewing my library card without proof of residential address...(yes I do have a residential address but my po box is listed on my DL) ...I can understand why they want residential proof if ur going to check out books, but what about just using the computers..so I said "what if u r homeless, its not fair to homeless people"..she assumed supercilliously that I was speaking of myself rather than as an ADVOCATE for the homeless.. (a lot of white homeowners have a BLIND SPOT when u come in as an advocate for others..they think its a thinly veiled disguise for your own problem...and they think..what character flaw does this guy have to cause him to be homeless ? I'M NOT HOMELESS LADY..I'm speaking as an advocate for the homeless ! do u understand the difference ? they don't understand people CARING FOR OTHERS ..FELLOW AMERICANS..what has happened to our country...she didn't see me as a fellow American but as a category..a lot of public employees start thinking & seeing in this way, unfortunately..I ocould be a soldier. on leave from defending our country and she would see "category A" or "category B", NOT somebody who is protecting her freedom...and if I were to die tomorrow, it would be a blip to her routine..all she said to me was "Why don't u call around and ask which libraries allow u to use the computer without a residential address?" Well, if she truly believed I was homeless, might she also wonder how I planned to "call around?" I don't the average homeless person has a cell phone. There was something FALSE about the way she was talking to me & treating me, not like an educated gentleman...she seemed to have an agenda... God be with our older generation that seems to be intent on saving their comfort at the sake of our future..I really believe our older ones are going to bring us down & cripple our country..I don't think they care about our future, only their own social security and retirement ...and I've learned just to give it ALL to JESUS IN PRAYER..I may sooner rather than later become an expatriate..I don't feel the love in America anymore..we r not the country we used to be..

4/27/11 LEAVING ST. JOHN FISHER CHURCH, PALOS VERDES, COUNTDOWN TO PENTECOST

4/27/11 A REMINDER TO TAKE TIME WITH THE LORD

4/27/11 cblog A REMINDER TO TAKE TIME w/ the LORD; sjf fr regular m: "His own disciples..couldnt grasp..is alive..reminded in our own life..take time w lord..take time to listen..explain meaning ..like cripple to give praise..important..to deeper and fuller undrst of gods mercy ..jesus is risen..octave..fifty days.

Acts 3:1-10 "Peter and John were going up to the temple area for the three o’clock hour of prayer. And a man crippled from birth was carried and placed at the gate of the temple called “the Beautiful Gate” every day to beg for alms from the people who entered the temple. When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked for alms. But Peter looked intently at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.” He paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them. Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.” Then Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles grew strong. He leaped up, stood, and walked around, and went into the temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the one who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with amazement and astonishment at what had happened to him."

Ps 105:1-2, 3-a thousand generationsB Which he entered into with Abraham and by his oath to Isaac R. Rejoice, O hearts that seek the Lord. or R. Alleluia.

Luke 24. 13-35 "That very day, the first day of the week two of Jesus’ disciples were going to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus, and they were conversing about all the things that had occurred. And it happened that while they were conversing and debating Jesus himself drew near and walked with them, but their eyes were prevented from recognizing him. He asked them,“What are you discussing as you walk along?” They stopped, looking downcast. One of them, named Cleopas, said to him in reply,“Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know of the things that have taken place there in these days?” And he replied to them, “What sort of things?” They said to him,“The things that happened to Jesus the Nazarene who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, how our chief priests and rulers both handed him over to a sentence of death and crucified him. But we were hoping that he would be the one to redeem Israel; and besides all this, it is now the third day since this took place Some women from our group, however, have astounded us: they were at the tomb early in the morning and did not find his Body; they came back and reported that they had indeed seen a vision of angels who announced that he was alive Then some of those with us went to the tomb and found things just as the women had described, but him they did not see.” And he said to them, “Oh, how foolish you are How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets he interpreted to them what referred to him in all the Scriptures. As they approached the village to which they were going, he gave the impression that he was going on farther. But they urged him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them. And it happened that, while he was with them at table he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him,
but he vanished from their sight Then they said to each other,“Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?” So they set out at once and returned to Jerusalem where they found gathered together the Eleven and those with them who were saying,“The Lord has truly been raised and has appeared to Simon!” Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way and how he was made known to them in the breaking of the bread."

4/27/11 WE ALWAYS RECOGNIZE JESUS @ THE BREAKING OF THE BREAD (OR SHOULD)

4/27/11 cblog WE ALWAYS RECOGNIZE JESUS AT THE BREAKING OF BREAD; st law mart fr bald m: "wonder how they didn't recognize jesus..gospel says somehow they were prevented from recognizing him..not sure what this means..but then eyes opened..remember mary mag thought he was a gardener..and disciples saw him on beach..and even in the upper room, but didn't immed recog him ? But always at breaking bread we see him ,, sometimes we close our eyes to jesus. Don't always see him, esp in other people, look around, the lord does companion is..highpoint when we recognize in eucharist .."

SO I ASKED THE LIBRARY LADY WHY A "RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS" IS REQUIRED TO RENEW A LIBRARY CARD ?

...its really crazy...they require a residential address to renew a card...I have a residential address but have my po box on my driver's license ..& I just wondered why a residential address is required, especially if you just want to use a computer..so she went back and asked the supervisor..I already knew the answer..."because its policy"...but my question was "why is it policy ?" they didn't seem to know.. maybe for checking out books its essential to make sure they get the books back, but then why don't they offer computer cards just to use the internet ? especially for homeless if they want to try to help themselves, a lot of links on the web could be helpful to them ..

SUNSET, PALOS VERDES, APRIL 27, 2011

4/27/11 HORSEBACK RIDERS, PALOS VERDES PENINSULA

4/27/11 THE LADY IN THE SILVER CAR FLIPPED ME OFF

...apparently she thought I was sliding over into her lane...and she honkedd..I don't think I was drifting that much and checked it...seemed to be ok..then she roared past and flipped me off..u see that's a mistake a lot of people make...they judge you on whether they like your car or not..whether they're impressed with your car or not..if not, the next assumption is that they are a bad driver, careless, etc..so you may not be drifting at all, or just barely, & they may jumpt to conclusions. ...I wasn't that impressed with her car either..its stunning how un-American some Americans can be toward other Americans..its still making me think about the benefits of being an expatriate ... I'm American but a not too impressed too often with the quality of care or kindness or empathy or community shown by other Americans.. I just DON'T FEEL THE LOVE Most of the time ..shame on my fellow Americans..you're sinking your own ship with greed, selfishness, & lack of care for others

THE MAN WITH THE JESUS VAN WOULDNT WAVE TO ME WHEN I HONKED

...now u would think a man with a Jesus van would be friendly, but when I honked & gave him the thumbs up as I left the gas station he wouldn't even wave...what a jerk ..if you're going to weat Jesus on your sleeve live what u profess to believe

4/27/11 WHERE PRES OBAMA WAS ALLEGEDLY BORN, KAPIOLANI GYNECOLOGY CENTER, HONOLULU

right by the main highway in honoluli, obama just released his alleged long-form birth certificate, and it indicates this is the medical center where he was born... u can view the alleged certificate at http://hearingtheword2.posterous.com/42711-pic-of-obamas-alleged-long-form-birth-c ...hopefully, once it i s authenticated, this will put doubts to rest ..so obama can concentrate on more important things because our country is in big trouble ..we aae a sinking ship

THIS IS 6085 KALANIANAOLE HWY, OBAMA's RESIDENCE IN 1961 ? HONOLULU, HAWAII

well, the white house just released the alleged long-form birth certificate of Pres Obama & it says 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy was their home of residence at the time, so I google it on google maps and this is what comes up, whether they rebuilt or not I don't know..not far from honolulu...and not far from chaminade university where I attended in 1986 .. u can view the birth certificate at http://hearingtheword2.posterous.com/42711-pic-of-obamas-alleged-long-form-birth-c

4/27/11 LIVE ! IM LOOKING AT THE WHITE HOUSE RELEASED ALLEGED LONG-FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE OF OBAMA !

...so the whitehouse & pres obama finally decided to respond to critics about his nationality by releasing a copy of his long form birth certificate...says he was born on August 4, 1961 at 7:24pm at the Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital. in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii ...the residence of his mother at the time was 6085 Kalanianaole Highway, his father's name is barack hussein obama age 25 (african, kenya), mother stanley ann dunhamm age 18 from wichita kansas, and the name of the attendant (doctor?) appears to be david similar (?) or smilar (?), also signed by local registrar (can't read name) ..so does this end the controversy ? let's wait and see ...has to be authenticate ..as for those who say its crazy to question his birth credentials, I don't think its crazy at al ..we just want to kknow where he was born and be sure of his loyalties ....its not ridiculous and has nothing to do with his skin color, trump was right on the money when he says our country has serious problems and we need to be sure ..so let's hope this is the real thing so we can move on and obama can concentrate on more important things...we really need some shaking up inthis country if we r going to survive ..I would say we are down to the "last hour".... this can be seen at www.whitehouse.gov

4/26/11 LEAVING THE LIBRARY

4/26/11 PRAY 4 OUR GROCERY STORE CLERKS

4/26/11 IM @ LIBRARY WORKING ON COMPILED NEWS UPDATE (APRIL '04 to APRIL '11)

...I started covering the.news online..initially via emails to others..news alerts, topiics of interests, etc...I also did a weekly video news show from the 10th floor at the crystal cathedral. for a while (not in affiliation with the church, but as an independent evangelist with an emphasis on the good news)...then I added a daily news website ( http://wwwthedailynews4u.posterous.com ) ...while also maintaining a few other blogs, mostlyy with an emphasis on the church, Jesus, theology, love, God, etc....and now every year or so I update the compiled list of stories...all of them come from news websites..and are news items I personally read & found interesting, informative, or amusing, alarming, sad, happy, etc ...NOT all news is good news but as Christians we are called to stay somewhat aware of what is happening in the wor,d just not obsessed with the world (and also to beware of how some orgnizations will SLANT the news for their own self-serving political purposes, even sometimes how police report the news to news agencies needs to be read carefully & critically ...the MORE we are aware of what's happening in the world, without becoming overly-obsessed, the more we can CUT THRU THE NONSENSE in a timely and meaningful manner to make a positive difference and not be fooled by the many persons out there who rely on taking advantage of people, including Christians..)...this news compilation is just headlines with a few links & the date...it helps remind me of what I read a year ago or more..its not exhaustice..lots of stories don't get covered..but it captures a lot of what's out there..once I post it I will give an update to the link

4/25/11 I'M AT THE LIBRARY

IS THIS TRUE RE LINDSAY LOHAN OR R THEY TRYING TO FRAME HER w/ a LOOK-a-LIKE ?

so I was reading an articles this morning at http://m.tmz.com/article_head.ftl?id=http://www.tmz.com/2011/04/25/lindsay-lohan-lookalike-paparazzi-photo-drinking-north-hollywood/

that suggested there were people selling fake photos of Lindsay Lohan drinking, getting drunk, etc. ..and then shortly later I walk into a supermarket and see this cover pic of Lindsay on Star Mag. allegedly "getting wasted" ..and I couldn't help but wonder if this is a frame job ..and if Lindsay knows about it..and if so is she going to take action ? or if its true..then we need to increase our prayer level for Lindsay and hope that somebody close to her intervenes in a loving, friendly way (I.e. somebody help her). God be with u Lindsay..yesterday was Easter day..now we begin Easter season (its not just one day, hare today, gome tomorrow (pun intended)...now we countdown to pentecost...! Lindsay, congrats on getting a part in the mafia movie w/ John Travolta..Btw I was at the Tonight Show when Travolta was there and he stuck up for u..said u were "hip" and didn't like Leno's joke about u having "crime in your family "(thus perfect for this movie)...So NOW is the time to show the world u r clean and sober and a nice, happy girl ..u got a break with the reduction to a misdemeanor...maybe u will beat that too ..but u got to get rid of those little demons in u...a good church will help..form a relationship with Jesus Christ..ask Him into your heart..did u get the audio Bible I sent u ? I hope so..And shame on star mag if they set u up ..if this is a frame job..

IM LOOKING AT A POSTER RE THE 1922 EGYPTIAN THEATRE O/S THE EGYPTIAN (EASTER DAY '11)

...came here to see the 1961 "King of Kings" narrated by Orson Welles ...50th anniversary of the historic film re the life of Jesus (not to be confused with Cecil B. DeMilles 1927 film of the same name, same topic) ...
