Sometimes they'd do evil just to entertain thsmelves, so believed greeks. God wanted to make clear this was "bogus." God is good , cannot do evil.
Let us not ever believe that God ever did anything evil to me. Human selfishness causes suffering. Don't blame God. God is good, all good. God is the source of all good. Sometimes fear is necessary...kobe bryant is motivated by fear of losing...tiger woods motivated by fear of losing...fear is good if its fear of real thing. If it gives edge to life. Good strong message from the pastor at St. Polycarp re the REALITY OF HELL & the usefulness of FEAR when it is reality-based. He emphasized that FEAR of HELL should inspire us to strive as well as LOVE OF GOD. He lampooned the old "I'M OK, YOU'RE OK" mediocre ethic of yesterday & urged EXCELLENCE if not for the LOVE OF GOD then at least the FEAR OF HELL !
