Here's a few words, verbatim, more or less, of his message: hellenist culture widespread...believed in gods...they played games with people's lives. Good or evil was up to the gods. Sometimes they'd do evil just to entertain thsmelves, so believed greeks. God wanted to make clear this was "bogus." God is good , cannot do evil.
Let us not ever believe that God ever did anything evil to me. Human selfishness causes suffering. Don't blame God. God is good, all good. God is the source of all good. Sometimes fear is necessary...kobe bryant is motivated by fear of losing...tiger woods motivated by fear of losing...fear is good if its fear of real thing. If it gives edge to life. Christians today no longer have a fear of hell. Son of God talking about fear of hell ....to drive us to be holy. Gehenna...outside jerusalem...trash dump...bad smell, maggots, trash, fire. So LJ used image of gehenna to describe hell. Bottom line. Examine saints. How to measure...more they understand hell...the more etchy b/c in spiritual lives. Today just God is love.
