..I couldn't slow down...but its the little one back aways ...acc to star maps..nothing ostentatious..so brad & angeline live fairly "humble" lives relatively speaking in terms of residential property in southern cal ..neither their los feliz home nor malibu home stands out as "big" or "bold" or "rich"...or "better" I admire that ..and this is literally a stone's throw away from my post office ..maybe I will see them walking around some time...ha ha yeah right...

12/30/10 I BOUGHT ANOTHER BANDFEST TICKET for the 2pm SHOW
..so far so good..except that as I was leaving the morning show..for a second I stood on the 2nd floor of the parking structure watching the last band march off the field..and suddenly a latino security POUNCED & said "Sorry gentleman...u can't watch from here.."( the other guy was latino & had already been there for several minutes.) ..I immediately walked away..& looked back to notice the latino guy was still standing there..she let him stay...but not me, the white guy..c'mon pasadena latino community have a heart during rose parade time..don't take out your anger on the "white guy"..I paid for a ticket, twice now..that's $30..That helps pay one of the securities wages for the day..so be happy ..don't nitpick today. .

...Here in pasadena..the nature of the beast is to keep increasing bureacracy, use of force & arms & badges...pasadena bandfest used to be a relatively unknown and lightly attended pre-parade celebration of music ..now pasadena police & the security people have decided they better keep a careful eye on the people ..u never know what we might do ..or is it simply an excuse to get paid while listening to some great bands under the pretense of guarding the people (sorry, "protecting us", right ?). ..

12/29/10 OVER BUREAUCRATIZED BANDFEST RUINS IT 4 GOOD BANDS
...bandfest in pasadena before the rose parade..not so long ago used to be a fun & simple time for bands & band fans to see them in action before the parade...but like every good thing..it now has become policefest ...with more pasadena police & "security" walking around than fans or band members ..everybody else must use their hard-earned money to pay for a ticket (or perform) while the police get paid to watch the bands, probably get free food, and also get to boss us around..they don't say "sir" or "m'am"...they say "you" (2nd person singular, familar voice) when they want you to move, jump, or run...and they have no fear of anybody calling and complaining because it won't do any good folks..pasadena cops are like the nazis under the rule of hitler..u do what they say or else..its just that simple..u don't talk to them, they talk to you...("speak when spoken to")..u don't ask them questions..u don't approach them..they're the boss..so if u r visiting pasadena,,brings lots of money..stay in groups..and don't expect anything nice from the cops..or the locals for that matter..pasadena is a police-state, police-city...if u don't work for the city u r NOTHING ...I spent four + years at fuller seminary and left feeling like I got raped by the city.. the dropout clerks in the various stores & restaurants are even worse than the dropout cops ..all in all pasadena is a depressing place to be on every day except one: New Years; and that's only if ur fortunate enough to avoid any interaction with dropout locals, clerks, & cops, as well as their superiors ...my motto: get in, get out ..and don't look back

12/29/10 PASADENA HASNT CHANGED MUCH: STILL SUPERCILLIOUS w/ an ATTITUDE
...Everywhere u go...the people here think they are an island called pasadena with no need for the rest of the country, let alone the county ...its pasadena syndrome ..no need even for God ..they got that covered once a week on Sunday ..and there's more cops here than citizens ..they watch you breathe..watch u sneeze..watch u when ur sleeping..watch u go to your grave... if yur coming to pasadena for the rose tournament bring lots of money and make sure you get out quick as hell when its over..they don't want people hangin around..and they sure as hell don't want you to think about staying forever..unless, of course, u got some moneyy to burn ..even the annual bandfest which I covered on youtube last year is a drag to be around this year..they apparently saw how many views I got on you tube and decided to webcast it themselves...for free ? hell no ! r u crazy ? its $8.50 per webcast show, ha ha ..and no freeloaders hanging out on the parking structure this year ..they got cops covering that too..(I actually paid last year but went up to the parking structure to stay dry...now u can't even go up there and watch even if u paid for a ticket ...even if its raining....so let's say u buy a ticket for $15 but then it starts raining..& u don't have an umbrella..can u go to the parking structure which offers a clear view and covering..? hell no..a rule is a rule ..but as I was leaving a latino family in a pickup was parked on the 2nd floor watching from their car..in the exact place they had just told us to vacate an hour earlier..maybe the secret is being latino and having latino guards watching..(or not watching if ur latiino)..if ur a poor white guy..no excuses..ur just trash...if ur poor latino ..aawww give them a break ..
12/29/10 PASADENA POLICE YELL AT EVERYBODY TO GET OUT ! BANDFEST
..its raining outside so people are watching bandfest from the parking structure....just like last year .. when suddenly pasadena police drive u and ttell everybdy to leave..can't watch from the parking structre..despite the fact that a banfest staff a few moments prior specifically said we could watch from there ..just not park on the end and sit on our cars ...that's pasadena police for you..they came cruising up as if a bank robbery were in progress..welcome tourists...they say...spend lots of money, but don't make yourselves at home...
