...bandfest in pasadena before the rose parade..not so long ago used to be a fun & simple time for bands & band fans to see them in action before the parade...but like every good thing..it now has become policefest ...with more pasadena police & "security" walking around than fans or band members ..everybody else must use their hard-earned money to pay for a ticket (or perform) while the police get paid to watch the bands, probably get free food, and also get to boss us around..they don't say "sir" or "m'am"...they say "you" (2nd person singular, familar voice) when they want you to move, jump, or run...and they have no fear of anybody calling and complaining because it won't do any good folks..pasadena cops are like the nazis under the rule of hitler..u do what they say or else..its just that simple..u don't talk to them, they talk to you...("speak when spoken to")..u don't ask them questions..u don't approach them..they're the boss..so if u r visiting pasadena,,brings lots of money..stay in groups..and don't expect anything nice from the cops..or the locals for that matter..pasadena is a police-state, police-city...if u don't work for the city u r NOTHING ...I spent four + years at fuller seminary and left feeling like I got raped by the city.. the dropout clerks in the various stores & restaurants are even worse than the dropout cops ..all in all pasadena is a depressing place to be on every day except one: New Years; and that's only if ur fortunate enough to avoid any interaction with dropout locals, clerks, & cops, as well as their superiors ...my motto: get in, get out ..and don't look back
