4/21/11 HEADS UP! OBAMA's COMING TO L.A. TODAY ! GREETINGS, HIS SCHEDULE, MY MESSAGE, MAUNDY THURSDAY, NEW HOPE !
Obama's coming to Los Angeles today, arriving by plane around 230pm, helicopter to VA building near 405/Wilshire , due at Sony Studio in Culver City at 4pm

(This may impact Maundy Thursday services at St. Augustine (where I attend periodically). After Sony, he's due for dinner at a restaurant in Brentwood, and they say he's going to drive there (which will definitely make a few people grouchy tonight as they try to get home or to church during rush hour, or shortly thereafter; altho most Maundy Services are later in the evening than the regular evening mass (speaking Catholic, Catholics have no mass (but they do gave services) during the triidum, the purpose being to suffer, symbolically, with Jesus until He arises on Easter morning, and then its party time !) After 8pm dinner in Brentwood the best guess is that Mr. President will sleep at the Beverly Hills Hilton. How do I know? See the following link (don't tell Osama Bin Laden):

Btw, its called "Maundy Thursday" because Jesus gave a new commandment (mandate, mandatum
"Mandatum novum do vobis ut diligatis invicem sicut dilexi vos" ("A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you"), the statement by Jesus in the Gospe of John (13:34) explaining the significance of washing His disciples feet (see wikipedia).

Perhaps this can be a symbolic time for our country, or at least Los Angeles, with Obama arriving on Maundy Thursday and staying overnight to the morning of Good Friday. Perhaps this can be a new beginning, with Obama making some compromises for the pro-life groups (which includes the "Blue Dog Democrats" by the way) and the Republicans giving a little more for universal health care, or at least more for the poor in general. Let us ALL LOVE ONE ANOTHER, in Christ.
