LA TIMES (April 19, 2011) shows a couple of LA sheriff's deputies at a muslim mosque participating in the worship ceremony in uniform, apparently on the job, and the article says "BACA (the sheriff) believes in outreach".. I like it..this is radical..more like missionaries trying to bond with the community... hmmm...I just hope the deputies stick to their principles..if they are Christians I hope they are praying to Jesus (Father-Son-Spirit)... I've done things like this as an evangelist (saying Lord's Prayer at a Muslim mosque; praying to Jesus in a buddhist temple, etc) ..but this is a bit different b/c its in uniform on the job, county time...more power to them..I've always said the power of peace is more powerful than the sword..but only if everybody maintains their own code of ethics & integrity.... I wouldn't applaud "outreach" if it meant denying your own faith and allegiances..Let's pray for the best in the name of Jesus our Savior whose death we mourn in two days (good Friday) and whose life & resurrextion we glorify forever on Easter Sunday and all year 'round.
