2/27/11 OUTGOING ARCHBISHOP CARDINAL MAHONEY GETS A 2 or 3 MINUTE STANDING OVATION...at his last official mass as archbishop of los angeles..as his time has come to retire (mandatory) & a new archbishop (jose gomez) takes the reins...I could sense the sadness in the congregation..Mahoney was the beloved leader for so many years..and he grew up here ..there's a LOT OF LOVE for Mahoney..he had a good heart, lots of care for the flock..God bless him
