2/14/12 AMBER RILEY & GLEE DEDICATE EPISODE TO WHITNEY HOUSTON (taped b/f her death, but dedicated posthumously) "...producers not only opted to keep the scene in its Valentine’s Day episode, but also decided to posthumously dedicate the episode to Houston. Amber Riley’s character Mercedes is saying good-bye to Chord Overstreet’s Sam with the song, “I Will Always Love You”. It was an amazing scene and Riley knocked it out of the park. Riley was fortunate to meet Houston just days before her passing. The episode closed with a black title card that read “Whitney Houston 1963-2012 We Will Always Love You"
