11/8/11 BRETT RATNER's USE OF "FAG" CAUSES UPROAR, RESIGNS OSCARS PRODUCTION

some of u know my Christian position re homosexuality, but I myself do NOT use words such as "fag" (I would say the "F word" but there's another F word it would be confused with) ...I take a reasoned, Biblical, position re homosexual lifestyles, but do not "gay bash" ..ironically, when I did make a YouTube video denouncing Conan O'Brien's airing of a gay wedding I may have been based by gays in what turned out to be so far the 2nd most commented upon video in my 20,000+ YouTube video archive,...gays need to remember that people who are speaking out against homosexuality from a though-out Biblical perspective are living by a code-of-honor they took as Christian believers, to ask them to act or think differently is to ask them to dishnor their code. This is not gay-bashing but acting on principal. Those who bash me in return are acting wrongly. I don't hate gays. During a question-and-answer session at a screening of his new comedy "Tower Heist" last week, Ratner was asked about rehearsals ahead of a film shoot, and he replied "rehearsing is for fags." He later apologized publicly, but the damage was done as gay rights groups and some members of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, which puts on the Oscars, took issue with his use of th word "fags."
