11/7/11 MAGIC JOHNSON ANNOUNCES HE HAS HIV, 20th anniversary...where were u when you heard the news on November 7, 1991 ? I had justreturned from A half year in Costa Rica, living & teaching in the rain forest, & had gone back to Michigan for a year at Calvin Seminary...but had discontinued seminary..& got my teaching degree instead (later I would finish seminary) ..today he has a press conference at noon in los angeles..magic grew up in lansingat the time I was growing up in grand rapids, 50 miles away, ..he was a few years older...maybe 10? and was winning the ncaa championship @ MSU when I was a kid.& our family moved to los angeles after he became a laker ...back when they still played at the forum in ingelwood...the good ol' days
