..perry just said he would not "give a penny" to pakistan if they are not loyal to "America's best interests", & Bachman responded that because Pakistan has nuclear weapons the situation is more complex than meets the eye & that Perry is "highly naive" to think we can simply cut off our financial assistance to Pakistan without potential repurcussions...she mentions the threat of al quaeda & the danger of them getting their hands on nuclear weapons (which Pakistan has) ... [comment: how easy or difficult is it to get your hands on a nuclear bomb in pakistan? what kind of security do they have around their nuclear arsenal? is bachmann suggesting al quaeda would have to sneak in & steal a nuclear bomb or that pakistan might just give them it? is our financial assistance, therefore,a "bribe" of sorts to keep pakistan friendly? like paying off the mafia for protection? how much $ do we give them & for what purpose, & how long will we keep doing so?
