...I'm not always good about helping the homeless...& have heard the arguments that say helping them is hurting them ...but then Jesus says "if u give this person a glass of water, u give it to me" ..so I try to remember it & do it from time to time ... & I think it helps community to a certain extent... a lot of homeless people get shunned & even mistreated at times..& sometimes this leads to bigger problems... even violence & crime ... ALL of us have FREEWILL ...that homeless man "doing nothing" could be tagging your sign, could be breaking into your car, could be hurting people, BUT ISN'T ! isn't that something to REWARD from time to time. Sometimes we need to reward & compensate people for what they are NOT doing as much as for what they R doing (painting, shoveling, blowing leaves, etc).
