8/2/11 119 DAYS & COUNTING: WILL U HELP SAVE the CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL ?

...it was announced on Sunday, July 31, 2011 that the Crystal Cathedral will try to avoid a sell-off by raising the needed $50 mil to pay off debts...if it is not raised in this time period, it is likely the judge will order it to be sold...meaning it could become a campus of apartments (greenlaw) or it could become a catholic parish (oc diocese) or pentecostal (mark thomas, if he's for real) or episcopalian (vietnamese guy named truong, calls himself a billionaire), or even possibly an extension of chapman university campus ...if it must be sold I would hope it remains a church of some sort ...a lot of people have invested in this ministry .. I always thought they had set aside a fund that would keep the campus itself financially secure, if not the hour of power, but apparently not .. ; also I would like to see the "walk of faith" plaques protected by plexi-glass or something so that they don't get worn down..the way it is now people can walk on them & wear them down (& the elements) ...people paid for these plaques... with their favorite verse...but now some of them you can barely read ..they need to be covered...(that's an aside) ...can u help the cathedral stay alive ? also, I would like to see some sort of plan that would keep the cathedral protected as a campus in perpetuity if the $50 mil is raised ... some assurance that this won't happen again..part of the problem I suspect, however, is that some who did business w/ the church overcharged them ...b/c everybody thought this is a "rich" church..so let's get a little "more" from them for our services..shame on you ..its a church like any other church...supported by tithes & donations...I remember seeing the bill from the person who provided animals for the glory pageants..& it seemed pretty high just for the use of a few camels & donkeys...
