...I'm driving by st. margaret episcopal church here in palm desert at 7am (pst) where the body of our beloved former first lady lies ..waiting for the motorcade to take her back to her hometown (my hometown too !) of grand rapids ..I paid my last respect yesterday with a walk by the casket...as much time as they allowed for a brief moment of paying tribute to Mrs. Ford ...and now I hope to see the motorcade leaving at 9am ...the road (highway 74) open at the moment.. here in coachella valley where I started out as a teacher in 1994 ..at the time I had never even heard of "coachella valley" ...(altho I had heard of palm springs) ..
