...I've been working on this photo album project for a while now & this morning I'm at the coffee shop and working on my mom's section (Linda Peters) and it just happens to coincide with the 100th anniversay celebration of pine rest hospital, where I used to work as a mental health worker, & where my dad worked as a chaplain for fourteen years, and where he is RIGHT NOW (or was on 5/6/11) as the keynote speaker for the 100th anniversary. the interesting thing is that I just found out my great-grandfather, abraham peters, was a strong supporter of pine rest in those beginning years (they called him a "patriarch") ...I never knew the peters side of the family had any connection to pine rest ... most people are more familiar with my grandpa leo peters as the founder of butterball. here's the link to a page re Abraham Peters, along w/ a note from my mom
