5/18/11 NOTION OF GOD AS "FATHER" DID NOT COME UNTIL AFTER CHRIST


interesting point by fr harrig an at ho tri that before Christ God was seen more like a severe master of slaves..but after Christ the idea of God as "father" and we as "children" of God became more predominant...he mentioned, as an example, how a Muslim leader in a debate with a Christian became enraged when the Christian refererred to God as "The Father" ...and called the Christian a "blasphemist"
