today is holy Saturday 2011,...yesterday was food Friday..I went to several services and stations of the cross re-enactments...this is a march 2008 dailymail pic (UK) from the annual re-enactment in the philippines...north of manila..where young men (& a few women) volunteer to be nailed to a cross to experience, partially, what Jesus experienced for our sins...this is a pic of a 15 yo boy's hand...it must be extremely painful..I wonder if they faint...and how long are they kept on the cross ? has anybody ever died from it? do the nail wounds heal by themselves?
