...the easter egg...symbolically is mixed with some ancient fertility celebrations..originally Ishtar...hence Easter..but for Christians it represents several things including the never-ending & no real beginning of God (Father Son Spirit) who was before us ...and after us (and we will be with Him and part of Him fully in eternity and we are with Him partially now)...they dyed the egg red, presumably to represent the blood...and also it can represent a tomb from which Christ arose...and I will crack it open and Christ will exit and I will eat the body of Christ (hard-boiled egg)...as we do in Catholic mass believing it becomes the actual body of Christ (when consecrated )..He Arose !
