...she handled my request for admin. parking....hearing from last december 2010..I parked at a sign that said "no parking nightly" but then the adjoining sign said "except sat & sun"..it was a Sunday even..& I was on my way to a christmas concert @ c.o.l.a....& when I got back from the concert I noticed a paper ticket under my windshield, likewise the 2 or 3 cars behind me..so I wasn't the only one who was confused by the contradictory signs...& so I contested it..and also asked for a continuance for a subpoena..to find OUT JUST HOW MANY PARKING CITATIONS are they regularly issuing at this location ! but instead of responding to the continuance for a subpoena, she (or he?)) ignored the request & simply affirmed the citation quoting the sign as saying "no parking nightly" but ignoring "except Sat & Sun"..very convenient to ignore part of the argumentation..& it made me realize also that these are city & county employees who are making determinations re actions of other city & county employees which, if uphe,d is good for the "pocketbook" of the city & county.. talk about CONFLICT-of-INTEREST ! ...TALK about lack of "INDEPENDENT REVIEW"...its a CASH COW for the city & county & they have no compelling reason to think about the citizen & his or her finances..nor even make the signs more clear & less confusing.. in fact they actually have an incentive, if they are dishonest, to keep the signs as-is ..so that people will park there & will get citations & will pay $88 dollars on a regular basis to the city..yet I say we are ALL ON THE SAME BOAT or SHIP,..and if the city takes us down by over-taxation & killing us with parking & seatblet citations wrongly enforced..they're ultimately TAKING THEMSELVES DOWN....IF U SINK THE CITIZENS...u sink yourselves..u demoralize..the people..they leave the city or county or country...or if they literally go bankrupt..they become homeless..that does the community a lot of good....., homeless people are depressed, ..more likely to cause trouble or get in trouble..and also are demoralizing to the community..if u take the citizens down..u take the ship down..u go down on the same ship.. & if u do it by cheating the people..u really start a "wicked web" that has no end
