here I'm praying @ the little vietnamese Bahn Mi Che Cali in Alhambra, CA as I wait for my order.... I often go to the vietnamese shop in fountain valley, ...this place is similar but I noticed they got a "B" rating by the health inspector, meaning a little less than ideal in terms of hygiene issues at the restaurant.. I try to go only to "A" restaurants (the california health inspectors grades all restaurants on an A,B,C scale..I think C Is the lowest they can go before being shut down..so a B is mediocre in terms of health & hygiene (could be a lot of different things..maybe not washing hands or wearing gloves, maybe leaving containers open at night, not using hot enough water when washing, etc..)...there's really NO EXCUSE for not getting an "A"..At least not after a while..maybe if ur a new place..new to the restaurant business u mught get a few low grades until u straighten everything out, but if u habitually get a low grade on a long-term basis, it means they're being lazy..let's hope for the best as I eat my sandwich..one good sign is a lot of people,,presumably not getting sick, but then in some cases its because they eat there regularly..whereas a new customer might not be...stay tuned..
