message after music: 12/26/10 cblog IN VIEW of GOD's MERCY ; message by stephen chong sa-rang church [mostly korean] "...say a couple things before the message...as we worshipped I really felt the spirit of god..you can sense his presence..this is a house of worship..gods love..oozing..every one of us god's children..final message..what message you want me to give..time as soon as it is lost is gone forevermore..today..when clock strikes midnight..Sunday is gone..can't get it back..this is the final Sunday of the year..ask god what message to convey..romans 12.1-2 ..as u turn to it..let me say I just came back from korea..for a week..first time back in 37 years..I was 5 when I left ..my view of korea..saying bye to grandmother ..teacher gives u a star..[pastor stephen chong...] ..asked god why did he bring me back..I was stirred & shaken.why god brought me back to my roots..meet these incredible people not just doing ministrtm but they were living ministry ..I'm crying all the time .recently ...when see comma pause..no speed readers ..re God's will ..in view of gods mercy to offer bodies as living sacrifice..spiritual act of worship..not conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of your mind..[prayer..hearts to hear..use me as your mouthpiece] ..I was in korea..god placed these things together..famous korean christian singers..sung jung mi...she drove us around..her husband exec director for costca ? So many shops..a lot of coffee ..wonderful godly mightily used..people but so humble ..so spirit-filled..passionately in love w/ Jesus..mentioned...I was blown away..they didn't care about their church but the kingdom of heaven..if some church or pastor were doing well they rejoiced unlike our individual competitive society. ..even competing ministries..I pray what god has planted in my heart..I pray u see what god has for your life ..we hold up index finger "youneed to live a life that pleases god" [nobody turned to me, second time ignored by people around me] ..maybe heart is callous..maybe u feel god has let u down ..a life that pleases god ..constantly remember god's mercy..gods mercy & grace..we preach it , teach it..but then in life we say what..that's what paul is saying.in view of god's mercy...heart beating by mercy..but we cheapen it ..do u really know how much god loves u ..god was so excited..his mercies that make us sons & daughters..his mercies that never fail..paul says why u take it for granted ..
Saving private ryan ..bleeding to death..ryan comes ..tom hanks..he says "earn this" ..all these brothers shed their blood for you..live a life worthy of this sacrifice..at end of movie..he's a grandfather..at cemetery..looks at wife..tell me I've lived a good life, been a good man..wife says "of course u have.." remind u that god loved us even more..sent own son to die for us..take away our sins..Jesus saying I give mty life for u..remember the mercy..grace..b/c of gods mercy & grace I live each day..without it not woeth living.."therefore in view of god's mercy"..easy for us to give our souls..another..offer literally bodies to god ..every day..not just a Sunday service..true worship leasing to god..what do outside.that's what worship is..offer that ... living sacrfice..unto lord ..god wants everything from u..hold nothing back..we are so consumeristic..we want god..cake & eat it too..go chuch, go pray,,check it off ..but we reserve somethings for self..but god wants it all..don't hold back..he's the living father..wants to give us something better..what is most dear ? Career, house, fame, ..living sacrifice abraham..waited 25 yrs for promised son isaac..then god says give it up ..give up your only son..Sunday school ..isaac was prob a teen ..13 years..abraham 113 years ..if they fight who would win..the kid..but isaac trusts father..imagine..isaac all tied up, knife about ready to kill him, but god says stop,, think of comfort..sofa, leather seats, air cond, nice..were called to be disciples but we want to enjoy our lives...are u willing..give it up instantaneously..so rocked out of my world..I'm korean american..thought I would show them in korea but they showed me ...woke up crying..didn't know why..54% of korea is atheist..many vowed they will never believe b/c theyyve been turned off by christianity..I was so convicted ..I've become so teary-eyed ..can't talk w/o becoming teary-eyed..use me

He will use u..god wants to deposit a living calling in u..beyond being nice at work..don't limit god..abraham hd to be willing 2 sacrifice..I get animated..4 years ago I had a heart attack ..4 months prior doc said ur one of the healthiest I've ever met..thought all is good ..in hischool my nickname was bruce lee..was in san diego..fitness room ..short of breath ..had to lie down..went back to room, cranked up AC..thoght had to vomit..then chest pain..writhing..finally..am I having a heart attack..r u calling me home..wife not life passed before my..called front desk..called paramedics..can u open door..crawl to door ...4 paramedics..my doc said ur animated..got to tone it down..but I would rather die as I utter your name..oh god I'm in love w/ u..give every desire, passion,,I'm short..have glasses, bags under eyes..not best lookin...but u saved me in 8th grade..every day 4 u..not applause of men, not popularity..just to please u god..a, I living a life worthy of the calling..r u living that life..in view of gods mercy offer bodies as living sacrifice..raise up a miracle generation..god wants to show he is same god yesterday today..greater than our struggle...mighty to save..invalid pastor..blink 1 for yes..went to kenya..he died..now she's a widow w 2 kids..stayed there in mission field 19 years..kona..ywam celebration..lady wanted to meet in korea ..couldn't channge her ticket w/o lsing money..but changed it anyways..didn't know why she's in korea..went to publishing compny ..met w/ exec there ..this guy anointed..no strategy meeting..they just pray..ceo asked where she's from..she said kenya but now in turkey..ceo started laughing...why..ceo from turkey said give a contract to sb from turkey..said god wanted ..give u a book deal ..mink coat, cafe church ..she trusted in God with radical faith and God responded with radical faithfulness ...
