12/26/10 CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL [I had never met Jim Coleman, nor knew he was until today. He's the husband of Sheila Schuller & gave the message "Best Christmas Ever" ,] "..our son scott..best christmas ever...proposed on the patio...she said yes ...joke .3 boys..went home for christmas vacation..teacher asked 3 boys to tell what was best abt it ..prot, catholic, jewish ...cath said midnight mass, prot .says gifts & meal..jewish said we all go to family store a mall..its closed..empty shelves sing "what a friend we have in Jesus". My mother had 10 bros & sis..went to family reunion for christmas..pies...carols..bonkers when people opened gifts ..christmas celebrated family & fellowship...nobody spoke about what it means..but not about relationship...mid 70's...just started freelance art for gg comm church ..bulletins..artboard in my bedroom..rhs asked for fullpage christmas eve ad ..that eve '75 ...j slipped into my aunts small den ..rabbit ears ..antenna ..found the cathedral on tv ..watching by myself..then susan snuck in started watchung..then aunti dot joined us ..thought I might be considered a dork ..then schuller came on..asked tv congrg to join in prayer ..all 3 had folded hands..knowing it was safe I bowed head..but didn't pray..was more concerned about perception..later I started attending..and my aunts..et al..became part of the community ..were going to share communion this morning ..celeb true comm since 1976 ..confirmed in riverside 1976 ..family church..qualified certified to take communion..it was official..but it mean nothing to me ..dramatic shift in '76 ..junior high ministries..still acting childish at age 25 ..went to first bible study ..suggested we take communion together..first true communion ..vibrant genuine love faith Jesus Christ ..common is shared by all , communication is to make common, also a passage to get from one place to another...last years challenges,,how should we respond to problems we face ..what can we learn from bible ..., communion, ..he makes giving thanks his top priority..divides cup and bread..makes common among all..communicated passage ..living god..creator..heart of hearts..sharing communion time ...no greater news..christmas..best ever ..
