12/25/10 "ARE YOU ALL ALONE ?" she said to me ..NO, Im w/ JESUS. dont u see Him ? I said (actually didn't say, "don't u see him?") ..@ good shepherd church in bev hills on christmas day ... she was a greeter of some sort ..I had arrived a little early for the 12:300 service ...she made it sound as if "alone" was the worst thing in the world.. but I didn't feel alone..So I said "No, I have Jesus by my side" ..she responded, "oh, good for you.." in a tone of pity mixed with a little scepticism that a person really can have Jesus as a companion... some people go to church all their lives and never truly discover a relationship with the supernatural trinity ..she thought I was spouting rhetoric, but its true..Jesus can be your friend..plus..Jesus is the body of Christ which IS ALL OF US BELIEVERS ...everybody thhere was with me ...although I do notice that when it comes tiime to say "peace" to others..most people FIRST turn to their loved one who is with themm, and only secondly to those around them who they do not know ...and that may actually be a theological problem ...too much loyalty to family, spouse, children ..may contrast with Jesus' command that we must "hate" some of those closest to us for the sake of the kingdom..the real meaning is "love less" but Jesus said "hate' to capture their attention..it simply means "LOVE LESS"...u must love neighbor less than god..love self less than neighbor ..always putting others before self,,,and that includes sometimes putting strangers before loved ones..your loved one will be driving home in the car w/ you ..do they need your primary attention in church as well ? or should u be putting others first and building up the body which will in turn build u up ..?
