10/5/09 LETTERMAN's "KNOCKED UP" joke re SARAH PALIN's DAUGHTER COMES BACK TO HAUNT the KNOCKER. (is this the END of LETTERMAN?) I've been thinking about the recent David Letterman scandal & noticed a few articles defending how "manly" his confession was, & at the same time taking potshots at Conan O'Brien (Letterman's new rival since Leno changed slots). These opinions must be from older writers close in age to Letterman who are trying to support a hierarchy more than Letterman himself. In REALITY Letterman has been stooping lower & lower in style & form especially with the Sarah Palin jokes. Even after he apologized for the joke about Palin's teen daughter getting "knocked up" apparently (from what I've read, not seen or heard myself) Letterman continues to make Sarah Palin jokes. I think its cheap & a little sleazy. Even Letterman called his sexual escapades at the office a little "creepy." We really haven't seen anything "manly" or "manful" from Letterman yet, if ever. This older generation is NOT extraordinarily "manly" even if they self-proclaim themselves to be the "Greatest Generation." Opinion By Vander
